Shiloh Baptist Church
Missions & Evangelism Ministry
Reverend William Coleman Assistant To The Pastor External Ministries and Affairs
Ministry Council Kathy Daniels * Julie Wilson
Domestic Missions * International Missions
Mission The essence of this ministry is to take Jesus the Servant, the Preacher, the Redeemer and the Savior to the poor, the blind, the oppressed, the lame and the imprisoned through serving and witnessing. The church has a mission of ensuring that God’s words and works of love, hope, grace and faith are presented to the people who are in all types of worldly prisons—whether physical, psychological, or spiritual.
Scripture “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Luke 4:18, 19
The Domestic Service Missions are: Anna Louise White Missionary Ministry, Mobil Meals, Community Children’s Christmas Celebration, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), N.A./A.A. Meetings, CDC’s Capital Youth Mentoring Program, Street Evangelism, Outreach to the incarcerated and their families and The Shiloh Voice. Also included are alliances with other outside programs (The Crisis Ministry, Home front, Concerned Pastors, Angels’ Wings, etc.).
The International Service and Evangelism Missions include the Laura Steward Community Center in Cite Soleil, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, sponsorship of the Asmah Family of Ghana, and a growing relationship with the Baptist Churches of Monrovia, Liberia.
